Digglers win, but Regulators show class

Leonard cools as Digs lights it up.

Playing the top team last night, the Regulators fought bravely, but were ultimately beaten by the class team of 2007 - Dirk Digglers.

With injuries and other factors, the Regs had only three starters and were always going to be pushing shit uphill.
Digs started the game by pushing a nice turd right up the hill in scoring on some quick drives. Torrence got in on the act and Roobs added some points and rebounds.
The score was close when Matt Leonard rocked up and the game looked to be competitive.

But the Digglers aren't top by way of forfeits every week. With their giant in the middle and some quality forwards, it was difficult to keep them from scoring inside.
The Regs finally went down 35-52 and didn't disappoint the capacity crowd.

The Regs are looking forward to a win next week to wrap up the season.
A season which has had many positive moments lately after some disruptions early on.

McDougal on a High

Regulators captain Andrew McDougal has shown signs of a return to the brilliant form that earned him an MVP a few seasons ago.

A basketball official was quoted a saying, "We have to drug test Digs because no-one can get that high unless they are stoned."

McDougal has been instumental in the Regulators 3 out of the last 4 wins, leading the team with some slashing moves that can only be seen by showing the replay in slow motion.

Lets just hope he follow up this form into the summer season.

Injuries hurt Regulators

The regulators are limping to the end of the winter season with some injuries to big name players.

Owens is gone for the rest of the season with an ankle, Torrance is a shell of his usual self sruggling with O.P. and Roopa struggling with minor brain damage after none too many big nights on the turps.

It is unknown when the Regs will line up with their starting 5 fully fit, but when they do they should surely give the top 4 a shake.
